The Investigation and Service Centre for Edible and Medicinal Mushroom Production (CISPHoCoMe), part of PyME Center in Neuquén, has achieved ISO 9001-2000 certification.

After a hard working year and after being audited in four demanding stages by the Argentine Standardization Institute (IRAM), the Laboratory located in San Patricio del Chañar which is a key piece in the Edible Mushroom Development Program of PyME Center, autarkic organization under the Ministry of Territorial Development jurisdiction, achieved the ISO 9001-2000 certification on 15 January 2008. It certifies the work done in improving the organization, considering and being aware of the quality of service and ensuring the efficacy in the development of the three main processes carried out in the laboratory:
a) preparation of mushroom inoculum of different edible species
b) research, design and transfer of different technological units related to the production of edible mushrooms
c) germplasm bank maintenance
